Prior to joining the business full-time in January 2020, Carrie spent 12 years within the NHS, primarily in Oncology and Endoscopy hospital services, where she supported medical and surgical teams in delivering patient-focused care and achieving Trust KPIs and operational targets. She later transitioned into the medico-legal sector, gaining extensive industry experience and spending seven years self-employed working with a range of pagination companies.
In her current role, Carrie leads the Medexxa team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and fully compliant medico-legal files. She manages core services including pagination and collation, chronologies, memos, letters of instruction, and case reviews, while working closely with clients to provide tailored solutions. Combining clinical insight with operational expertise, Carrie focuses on streamlining processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering consistent client satisfaction.
With 15 years of experience as an NHS nurse, Danielle worked across a wide range of clinical settings, predominantly within surgery and orthopaedics. Her nursing career provided extensive experience in patient care, clinical assessment, and multidisciplinary working within fast-paced healthcare environments.
Following her clinical career, Danielle joined a law firm as an in-house nurse. In this role, she advised on the clinical prospects of cases, reviewed medical records, and prepared detailed medical chronologies to support litigation processes.
In 2023, Danielle joined UKExpertMedical and Medexxa where she continues to apply her combined clinical and legal experience to support high-quality medico-legal work
With over 21 years of experience across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors, Alexis has developed extensive expertise in maintaining medical records and liaising daily with patients, medical professionals, and healthcare providers. These responsibilities have strengthened her medical knowledge, enhanced her understanding of medical terminology, and refined her communication and organisational skills.
Since joining the business, Alexis has held previous roles including Medical Records Analyst and Medical Records Collator, both of which significantly expanded her knowledge and experience within the medico-legal sector. In her current role as Business Support Manager, she is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and providing essential support to solicitors and colleagues across the business. Working closely with the wider team, Alexis promotes efficiency, maintains high organisational standards, and helps ensure cases progress as smoothly and effectively as possible.
Our Multidisciplinary Healthcare team has extensive specialist knowledge and clinical experience across emergency, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, and safeguarding care. The team includes a paramedic with advanced trauma expertise, alongside experienced midwives specialising in antenatal, labour and delivery, and postnatal care, with additional specialist interests in gestational diabetes and pre-term labour.
The team is also supported by a paediatric nurse with experience caring for children from the neonatal period through to adolescence, including specialist safeguarding and welfare work within the hospital setting.
Together, the team is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based services, combining clinical expertise with a thorough and professional approach to medico-legal reviews.
Kirsty brings over 11 years of nursing experience gained within both hospital and community healthcare settings. Prior to joining Medexxa, Kirsty worked as a Staff Nurse at Lincoln Hospital, caring for patients across Adult Nursing, Elderly Complex Care, Specialised Renal Care, and Wound Care services. Throughout her clinical career, she supported individuals with a wide range of complex medical conditions, developing strong clinical knowledge and a patient-focused approach to care.
Kirsty joined as a Records Analyst before progressing into her current role as Clinical Team Manager, where she supports several specialist members within the team. Fully trained across all key aspects of the pagination process, Kirsty provides both clinical guidance and operational support, helping to train team members and oversee workflows from start to finish. Her expertise includes pagination and collation, chronologies, memos and letters of instruction, and case reviews, ensuring clients receive accurate, efficient, and high-quality medico-legal services.
The Adult Complex Care & Clinical Review Team is a highly experienced multidisciplinary team with a strong background in nursing and complex care. The team’s clinical expertise includes Oncology, Haematology, Cardiology, and Community Care, providing extensive knowledge across a wide range of adult healthcare settings and patient pathways.
Alongside their clinical experience, the team is supported by a skilled administrative team with a strong understanding of Adult Nursing and medico-legal processes. Their organised and detail-focused approach ensures the efficient management and review of clinical information, supporting the delivery of accurate, professional, and evidence-based medico-legal services.
Charlotte has 18 years of nursing experience across Emergency Care, Critical Care, and Community Complex Care services. Her primary specialty is Critical Care Nursing, supported by a BSc in Adult Critical Care Nursing, providing her with extensive clinical expertise across a wide range of acute and complex patient care settings.
In her current role, Charlotte oversees the coordination and quality assurance of medico-legal cases, including case reviews, pagination and collation of records, chronologies, memos, and Letters of Instruction. She is responsible for ensuring all disclosed work provided to solicitors is accurate, comprehensive, and delivered to a consistently high professional standard. Charlotte brings strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and exceptional attention to detail to her role.
The Critical Care & Specialist Clinical Review Team is a highly experienced multidisciplinary team with specialist expertise in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) nursing. With a strong understanding of the complex care delivered within these environments, the team is skilled in reviewing detailed clinical records, monitoring documentation, and analysing standards of care within acute and critical care settings.
The team also brings valuable medical and surgical nursing experience, alongside specialist knowledge in dental, ophthalmology, and respiratory care, providing a broad clinical perspective across a range of healthcare disciplines.
